Buckingham Palace to host first Christmas pop-up shop this winter in the Royal Mews
Festive-London shoppers can head to Buckingham Palace this Christmas for the royal family’s first ever Christmas pop-up at the Royal Mews selling a variety of Christmas delights

The King’s official royal residences are always magical come Christmas. From the grand hallways of Windsor Castle and Buckingham Palace to the historic rooms of the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the Royal Collection put on a show for visitors in the festive season, with enormous glittering Christmas trees, dazzling displays and special winter guided tours and even Christmas events and services. Even the remarkable Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House at Windsor Castle will feature its own tiny Christmas tree and festive garlands, complete with ornaments made from glass beads repurposed from vintage necklaces, and tiny candles made with real candle wax.

Visitors will be able to see all three royal residences decked out in their festive glory by booking a tour between the end of November and early January (exact dates vary between residences). Book your tour here.
The Christmas Shop at the Royal Mews, Buckingham Palace
In 2025, for the first time ever Buckingham Palace will host a special pop-up Christmas shop inside the historic Royal Mews. The shop will be open from 14 November 2025 to the 5 January 2026 (closed on Bank Holidays).

One of the finest and most famous working stables in the world, the Royal Mews is responsible for all road travel arrangements for the Royal Family and is home to the iconic 260-year-old Gold State Coach, which was last used during the Coronation of King Charles III in 2023.
Normally closed for the winter, this year the historic Royal Mews will be open to visitors during the festive season for the Royal Collection’s first ever pop-up Christmas shop.
Visitors will be able to browse official royal gifts and decorations while stocking up on Christmas treats. Full of inspiration for royal-themed Christmas gifts for your loved ones, the shop will also feature mini 20cl bottles of gin, infused with botanicals hand-picked from the gardens of Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle, and the Property of the Royal Kitchen range of kitchen accessories, inspired by the Great Kitchen at Windsor Castle – the oldest working kitchen in the country.

Combine your Christmas gifting with a tour of Buckingham Palace’s state rooms, normally closed for the winter but open for pre-booked expert-led tours in November and December.
